Can I open a Zilch account with limited ID?
You may still be able to open a Zilch account if you have limited ID.
You can use any of the following documents as proof of ID:
A valid passport
A driving licence or provisional licence
A CitizenCard with a holographic PASS logo
A UK birth certificate
Using a UK birth certificate as proof of ID
Using a UK birth certificate as proof of ID
If you'd like to use a UK birth certificate as proof of ID, you'll need to select the Passport option during the verification process.
Onfido, the identity verification partner we use, looks for photographic ID by default. Because of this, it may take a few attempts for the system to accept a UK birth certificate.
If your UK birth certificate isn't accepted the first time, try uploading the document again.

You can use any of the following documents as proof of address.
You cannot use the same document as both proof of ID and proof of address.
Accepted proof of address documents include:
A utility bill from the last three months
A bank statement from the last three months
A council tax bill for the current tax year
A UK driving licence
A mortgage statement from your lender from the last year
A solicitor's letter for a house purchase or Land Registry document from the last three months
A council or housing association rent card for the current year
A tenancy agreement for the current year
An NHS-headed letter or another official document confirming GP registration

If you do not have a paper copy of an accepted proof of address document, you'll need to contact the company or organisation that issued the document and request a hard copy.
