How to use Zilch with Apple Pay

Use Zilch with Apple Pay for online and in-app purchases

You can use Zilch with Apple Pay for online and in-app purchases on iPhone and iPad.

At checkout, you can choose to:

  • Pay in Full

  • Pay over 6 weeks

  • Pay over 3 months, Pay over 6 months or Pay over 12 months (subject to eligibility)

  • Pay with Rewards (Zilch Plus members only)

Am I eligible to Pay over time with Zilch on Apple Pay?

To use Pay over time with Apple Pay, you'll need:

  • An active Zilch account with no overdue instalments

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up on your device

  • A purchase of at least £10 for Pay over 6 weeks

  • A purchase of at least £75 for Pay over 3 months, Pay over 6 months or Pay over 12 months

How do I update iOS or iPadOS?

To update iOS or iPadOS:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select General.

  3. Select Software Update.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I add my Zilch card to Apple Wallet?

To add your Zilch card to Apple Wallet:

  1. Open the Zilch app.

  2. Tap View next to your card.

  3. Select Add to Apple Wallet.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I Pay over time with Apple Pay?

To use Pay over time with Apple Pay:

  1. Select Apple Pay at checkout.

  2. Choose your Zilch card.

  3. Tap Pay Later.

  4. Choose either Pay over 6 weeks or a Pay monthly option (subject to eligibility).

  5. Review the payment details.

  6. Tap Agree & Continue.

  7. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

Fees may apply depending on the payment option you choose.

You'll always see the full cost, including any applicable fees, before confirming your purchase.

The payment option you choose only applies to that purchase, even if your smart settings are different in the Zilch app.

Can I turn off Pay Later in Apple Pay?

Yes.

To turn off Pay Later:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Wallet & Apple Pay.

  3. Select Apple Pay Defaults.

  4. Switch off Pay Later.

Am I eligible to Pay with Rewards on Apple Pay?

To use Rewards with Apple Pay, you'll need:

  • An active Zilch account with no overdue instalments

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up on your device

  • An active Zilch Plus membership

What is Pay with Rewards?

If you're a Zilch Plus member, you can use your Rewards balance towards eligible online and in-app purchases with Apple Pay.

Choose how many Rewards you'd like to use and the selected amount will be applied to your purchase.

How do I use Rewards with Apple Pay?

To use Rewards with Apple Pay:

  1. Select Apple Pay at checkout.

  2. Choose your Zilch card.

  3. Tap Use Rewards.

  4. Enter the amount of Rewards you'd like to use.

  5. Tap Done.

  6. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

The option you choose only applies to that purchase, even if your smart settings are different in the Zilch app.

I'm eligible but can't see the Rewards option

If your device supports Pay with Rewards but you cannot see the Rewards option, review your eligibility requirements and make sure you have an active Zilch Plus membership.

Can I turn off Pay with Rewards?

Yes.

To turn off Pay with Rewards:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Wallet & Apple Pay.

  3. Select Apple Pay Defaults.

  4. Switch off Pay with Rewards.

Am I eligible to Pay in Full with Zilch on Apple Pay?

To use Pay in Full with Apple Pay, you'll need:

  • An active Zilch account with no overdue instalments

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up on your device

How do I Pay in Full with Apple Pay?

To Pay in Full with Apple Pay:

  1. Select Apple Pay at checkout.

  2. Choose your Zilch card.

  3. Tap Pay in Full.

  4. Review the payment details.

  5. Tap Done.

  6. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

The full purchase amount will be collected from your linked debit card.

The payment option you choose only applies to that purchase, even if your smart settings are different in the Zilch app.

Can I turn off Pay in Full?

No. Pay in Full is always available and cannot be switched off.

Where can I use Zilch with Apple Pay?

You can use Zilch with Apple Pay for online and in-app purchases on iPhone and iPad.

Pay over time is available to UK customers making purchases in GBP.

The minimum purchase amount is:

  • £10 for Pay over 6 weeks

  • £75 for Pay over 3 months, Pay over 6 months and Pay over 12 months

The maximum purchase amount depends on your available credit limit.

Pay with Rewards is available to Zilch Plus members only.

Does Apple have access to my data?

Apple helps securely process payment and transaction information.

Apple does not keep a record of what you bought, where you bought it or how much you spent.

Refunds and returns work the same way as any other Apple Pay purchase.
