How to use Zilch on Apple Pay

You can now use your Zilch card with Apple Pay to shop online or in-app, using your iPhone or iPad. Select Pay in Full or Pay Later, right at checkout. If you’re a Zilch Plus member, you can even use pay with Rewards.

Pay Later

Am I eligible to Pay Later with Zilch on Apple Pay?

To be eligible to Pay Later with Zilch on Apple Pay, you’ll need to be an active Zilch customer with no overdue instalments and have:

  • A compatible iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up

  • A purchase of at least £10

How do I update my iOS and iPadOS?

To update your iOS, go to Settings → General → Software Update.

How do I add my Zilch card to my Apple Wallet?

To add your Zilch card:

  • Open the Zilch app

  • Tap View next to your card

  • Scroll down and tap Add to Apple Wallet

  • Follow the on-screen steps

How do I Pay Later with Zilch on Apple Pay?

When you're ready to complete your purchase:

  • Tap the Apple Pay button at checkout

  • Select your Zilch card – you’ll see a Pay Later hint below your card

  • Tap Pay Later

  • Choose your instalment plan – Pay over 6 weeks or Pay over 3 months (subject to eligibility) and review the details

  • Tap Agree & Continue

  • Confirm your payment with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode

The option you select applies only to that transaction – even if it differs from your smart settings in the Zilch app.

Can I turn off instalment options?

Yes. Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Apple Pay Defaults and switch off Pay Later.

Pay with Rewards

Am I eligible to Pay with Rewards with Zilch on Apple Pay?

To be eligible to Pay with Rewards with Zilch on Apple Pay, you’ll need to be an active Zilch customer with no overdue instalments and have:

  • A compatible iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up

  • An active Zilch Plus membership

How do I add my Zilch card to my Apple Wallet?

To add your Zilch card:

  • Open the Zilch app

  • Tap View next to your card

  • Scroll down and tap Add to Apple Wallet

What is Pay with Rewards?

If you’re a Zilch Plus member, you can use your Rewards balance to make purchases online or in-app via Apple Pay. Choose how much you want to use and we’ll convert it into money off your purchase.

How do I use Rewards with Apple Pay?

When you're ready to complete your purchase:

  • Choose Apple Pay as your payment method at checkout

  • Select your Zilch card – if eligible, you’ll see a Rewards hint and your available balance

  • Tap Use Rewards

  • Enter how much you’d like to apply

  • Tap Done

  • Confirm your payment using Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode

The option you select applies only to that transaction – even if it differs from your smart settings in the Zilch app.

I’m eligible but can’t see the Rewards option – what do I do?

If your card is supported but you don’t see the option, contact us and we’ll look into it.

Can I turn off Rewards options?

Yes. Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Apple Pay Defaults and turn off Pay with Rewards.

Pay in Full

Am I eligible to Pay in Full with Zilch on Apple Pay?

To be eligible to Pay in Full with Zilch on Apple Pay, you’ll need to be an active Zilch customer with no overdue instalments and have:

  • A compatible iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later

  • Apple Pay set up

How do I Pay in Full with Zilch on Apple Pay?

Can I turn off Pay in Full?

No, you can't turn off Pay in Full as an option.

Where can I use Zilch on Apple Pay?

You can use Zilch on Apple Pay for online and in-app purchases on iPhone and iPad.

Pay Later is available to UK cardholders for purchases in GBP between £10 and £2000.

Pay with Rewards is only available for Zilch Plus members.

Does Apple have access to my data?

Like Apple Pay, with this new feature, Apple helps to securely transmit your transaction and payment information but does not keep a record of what you bought, where you bought it or for how much.

How are refunds and returns handled?

The same as any other Apple Pay purchase. Read more about returns and refunds and how to dispute a purchase.

Paying over time on Apple Pay: Loans not offered by Apple. Subject to eligibility requirements and approval. Apple provides technical services for Paying Over Time on Apple Pay. Apple is not providing financial services, and all lending and payment services are provided to you by the relevant card issuer and lending provider. Not available in all markets, and may not be available for all types of purchases, such as subscriptions and recurring transactions. Available online and in-app on iPhone or iPad.
