Is Zilch free to use?

How much does Zilch cost and what fees do we charge?

Updated over 4 months ago

Zilch will never charge late fees, but there are some fees for our features.

Remember, you can get lower or even zero fees on Pay over 6 weeks and Pay over 3 months purchases when you search for your store in the app and enable your card first. Stores are adding new deals all the time, so it's always worth checking.

Pay over 6 weeks fees

There is a fee of £0-3.50 to use Pay over 6 weeks. If you use Zilch Anywhere, the fee is £3.50 every time but you can get lower or zero fees by searching for a store in the app and enabling your card first. To do this:

  • Open the Zilch app

  • Select In-store or Online

  • Search for your store

  • Choose Pay over 6 weeks

  • Enable your card

  • Shop and pay as usual

Pay over 3 months fees

Your Pay over 3 months fee will be 0% to 5% of your total purchase price when you enable your card – and 6% if you use Zilch Anywhere. You'll never be charged interest – just this variable fee.

Let’s look at some examples

5% fee on a £100 purchase = £5 fee

5% fee on a £200 purchase = £10 fee

Spending more? The same fee percentage will apply, but your fee is capped at £40. There’s a handy calculator in the app, too, so you’ll always know what to expect.

You can get lower fees for Pay over 3 months by enabling your card in the app first:

  • Open the Zilch app

  • Select Online or In-store

  • Search for your store

  • Select Pay over 3 months

  • Enable your card

  • Shop and checkout with Tap and Pay or your card details

Snooze fees

You can Snooze some instalments by 4 days for free, and pay a small fee to Snooze your last, or all your remaining instalments. It costs £3 to Snooze any instalments by 8 days (if you're eligible).

Pay now

There are no Pay now fees, and we'll give you up to 5% back in Rewards for every purchase you make. Just remember to search for your store in the app and enable your card first so you can get the most Rewards each time.
