Snooze and Auto Snooze fees

Learn how Snooze and Auto Snooze work and when fees may apply.

Snooze and Auto Snooze let you delay eligible instalments for a short period of time – fees may apply depending on which option you use and how long you delay your payment.

You'll always see any applicable Snooze or Auto Snooze fees before confirming.

What is Snooze?

Snooze lets you delay eligible instalments before they become overdue.

Snooze is available on eligible:

  • Pay over 6 weeks purchases

  • Pay over 3 months purchases

  • Pay over 6 months purchases

  • Pay over 12 months purchases

With Snooze, you can choose to delay:

  • One instalment

  • Multiple instalments

  • Remaining instalments on eligible purchases

How much does Snooze cost?

Snooze for 4 days

If you Snooze an eligible Pay over 6 weeks instalment for 4 days:

  • £0.75 per instalment Snoozed

Available for Pay over 6 weeks purchases only.

Snooze for 8 days

If you Snooze an eligible instalment for 8 days:

  • £1.50 per instalment Snoozed

Available for:

  • Eligible Pay over 6 weeks purchases

  • Pay over 3 months purchases

  • Pay over 6 months purchases

  • Pay over 12 months purchases

Some instalments may be eligible to Snooze for free.

You'll always see any Snooze fees before confirming.

What is Auto Snooze?

Auto Snooze may automatically delay an eligible instalment if a payment has not been collected by the day after its due date.

If Auto Snooze is switched on and a payment has not been collected, we may move the payment due date and apply an Auto Snooze fee.

How does Auto Snooze work?

If an instalment is not paid by the day after its due date:

  1. We'll try to collect the instalment again.

  2. If the payment collection fails and Auto Snooze is turned on, we'll try to collect the Auto Snooze fee.

  3. If the Auto Snooze fee is collected successfully, the instalment will be delayed by 4 or 8 days, depending on your Auto Snooze settings.

  4. Your payment schedule will continue from the new payment due date.

If the Auto Snooze fee can't be collected, the instalment will remain overdue and you won't be able to use Pay over time until the overdue instalment has been repaid.

How much does Auto Snooze cost?

4-day Auto Snooze

If a Pay over 6 weeks instalment is Auto Snoozed for 4 days:

  • £1 per instalment

Available for Pay over 6 weeks purchases only.

8-day Auto Snooze

If an eligible instalment is Auto Snoozed for 8 days:

  • £2 per instalment

Available for:

  • Pay over 6 weeks purchases

  • Pay monthly purchases

Can I turn Auto Snooze off?

Yes. You can turn Auto Snooze off or update your Auto Snooze settings at any time in the Zilch app.

To manage Auto Snooze settings:

  1. Open the Zilch app.

  2. Select Account.

  3. Select Payment settings or App settings.

  4. Select Auto Snooze settings.

  5. Update your Auto Snooze settings.

  6. Select Save Auto Snooze settings.

Auto Snooze is turned on by default when you create your account. This means Auto Snooze fees may be applied automatically if a payment isn't collected – if you'd prefer to manage missed payments yourself, you can turn Auto Snooze off at any time in your Zilch app.

Important things to know about Snooze and Auto Snooze

  • Eligibility criteria apply.

  • Not all instalments can be Snoozed.

  • Each instalment can only be Snoozed once.

  • You'll always see any applicable Snooze or Auto Snooze fees before confirming.
