Advance is rolling out gradually. We’ll let you know as soon as you have access, so keep an eye on the app.
Advance lets you borrow up to £100 before you get paid, with no interest. The money is sent straight to your bank account, and you repay it on your pay date, plus a £3 transfer fee. It’s there if you need a bit of extra flexibility.
How much can I borrow with Advance?
You can borrow between £25 and £100, depending on your eligibility.
How much does it cost to use Advance?
There’s no interest on Advance payments but there is a £3 transfer fee. For example, if you borrow £100, you’ll repay £103.
How do I get an Advance?
To check if you’re eligible, you’ll need to connect your bank account using Open Banking and verify your income. Open Banking is available with Zilch Extra. If you’re eligible, you’ll be able to transfer your Advance straight to your bank account.
When can I use Advance?
You can access Advance up to seven days before your pay date. You can only use Advance once per calendar month.
When will I receive my Advance?
Once approved, your Advance is sent to your bank account. You should receive the money immediately but it can take up to two hours.
How do repayments work?
We’ll take your repayment in full on your verified pay date, based on the income we’ve confirmed through Open Banking. You can repay early in the app if you’d like.
Can I Snooze my Advance repayment?
No, not at the moment.
Can I use Advance for anything?
Yes. Once the money is in your bank account, you can use it however you like.
Why can’t I access Advance?
You might not be able to access Advance if:
You haven’t connected your bank account using Open Banking
We haven’t been able to verify regular income after connecting
You’re outside the seven-day window before your pay date
Your Zilch account has been locked for any reason
