What do I do if my physical Zilch card is lost, stolen or damaged?

Here’s how to go about staying secure and getting a replacement.

It happens. Good news though, getting a new one couldn’t be easier.

The first thing you should do is freeze your physical card to prevent anyone else from using it. Here’s how:

  • Open the Zilch app

  • Go to Account

  • Select Manage card settings

  • Select Freeze card

To cancel your lost, stolen or damaged physical Zilch card, contact us:

  • Start a Live Chat by going to Help in the app and then Live Chat

  • Call us on +44 203 405 9774

If you think you've spotted suspicious activity on your account, you can freeze your card to keep your money safe.

Can I still use my card details online?

For your security, your details (like the card number and expiry date) aren’t printed on the physical card, so we don’t need to freeze your whole account – you can use your card online while you wait for your replacement. You can also carry on using the card in your digital wallet.

What about my old card?

Don’t worry, we’ll cancel your old card right away for security reasons.

I’ve found a lost physical Zilch card, what should I do?

If you’ve found a Zilch card, please don’t try to use it. Call us on +44 (0)20 3405 9775 so we can securely cancel the card and notify the cardholder.

After that, cut the card into pieces (through the chip and magnetic strip) and put it in your household waste bin.
